Summer List

 we have been making summer list for 15 years.
 we moved every year for the first 7 years of our marriage.
 it was fun to see and learn about our new home, town/city.
we love to travel too, we usually have a list of weekend or day trips to fun places.
now that we have kids in college ,it is hard to get them to go on trips and our "Little's", love to "hang" with friends or go to camps with friends. 
the kids are old enough to volunteer and go on mission trips. LOVE
Our list have evolved from what can we DO to have fun, to how can we GIVE and have fun doing it.
it has been nice to grow roots, be involved, and give back to our community.

 our 2011 summer list:

if you can see/read it, we have crammed in all we could.

it is going to be tough to do all of it.

Kayla leaves next saturday for 6 weeks.

Blake leaves for a mission trip, then he is off to camp for 4 weeks.

we are going to have a busy month!

Countdowns

since the first of may we have had a countdown going. first we counted down to Blake's graduation from 6th grade:

 then it was the countdown to the mission trip bbq get together.

 the boys played a pantyhose game, it was hilarious and they had a lot of fun.

 

 now we are on Blakes' birthday countdown

he has 20 more days until he is 13.thirteen.GASP!
and the last one will be the Camp Chippewa countdown.

Blake would move there if he could, he goes for a month every summer. what about you, do you do countdowns?

Full Swing

our summer is in full swing. we have been busy getting the house ready for SUMMER, we do a summer sweep. I call it the storm before the calm. backwards i know. i love to clean and purge before we hit the store for the new summer must haves. here are some of my favorite things.

STAY TUNED......

New Beginnings...Spring

Spring: where new things blossom and life emerges! YES!, the sun emerged out from where ever it had been hiding. It was shining BRIGHT and it was great to feel it's heat on my skin! The kids and I went out looking for signs of SPRING, and here are some beautiful signs, that Spring has SPRUNG (well almost) YIPPEE!

I could NOT help myself when I saw the sun..I started to sing:
